Resurfacing work getting underway

Two road resurfacing projects soon will be under way in rural western Whiteside County.

Work begins Thursday on a 1-mile section of Moline Road east of Sand Road; it will take about a week. It’s a state Department of Transportation project; call 815-284-2271 for more information.

Work on 5 miles of Coleta Road, from Pilgrim Road on the north to Holly Road on the south, starts Monday. Workers will be on site from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, and traffic will be reduced to one lane.
