Jack E. Fore

FRANKLIN GROVE – Jack Edmond Fore, 89, of Franklin Grove, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at Franklin Grove Nursing Center. He worked as a truck driver for Lincolnway in Dixon before retiring.

Jack was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Noble, the son of Asa and Clarissa (Rusk) Fore. He married Mary Jane Connell on Nov. 11, 1941, in Troy, Mo. She preceded him in death on Jan. 26, 1999.  

Survivors include five sons, Jack (Mirtha) Fore Jr. of Chandler, Ariz., Don (Sheri) Fore of Franklin Grove, Rick (Sandy) Fore of Cary, N.C., Dave (Melody) Fore of Olney, and Bob (Kathy) Fore of Clinton, Iowa; two daughters, Mary Lynn (Tom) Kelly of Harrisburg, N.C., and Jeanne (Alvaro) Ortega of Mendota; one brother, Robert Fore of Olney; three sisters, Ida Ream of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Helen Underhill of Franklin Grove, and Connie Heier of Ashton; 23 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.  

He also was preceded in death by one brother, Tom Fore.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. today and the funeral at 10 a.m. today at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, with the Rev. Jason Karper and Rev. Adam Ortega officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon.

A memorial has been established to Franklin Grove Nursing Center.
