ROCK FALLS – Kenneth E. Wyatt Sr., 60, of Rock Falls, died suddenly Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at his home.

He was born on June 7, 1953, in Marshville, Mo., the son of Jessie Eugene and Mary Haseltine (Cook) Wyatt. He married Brenda Smith in November 1973 in Arkansas. Kenny worked as a mechanic and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, stock car racing and demo derbys. 

His survivors include his wife, Brenda; his children, Joey (Corky) Fortune of Sterling, Shelly (Tom) Parvin of Sterling, Kenneth E. “Hootie” (Tammie) Wyatt Jr. of Galt and Heather Lynn (Pris) Chavez of Texas; his mother, Mary Wyatt of Sterling; four sisters, Darlene Leal of Rock Falls, Mary Ann (James) Divers and Evelyn (Chelsy) Olroy, both of Erie, and Barbara (Bob) Merrill of Gary, Ind.; his brothers, Don (Bev) Wyatt of Marshfield, Mo., and James (Tina) Wyatt of Conway, Ark.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie E. Wyatt; his brother, John Wyatt Sr.; his grandson, Sean M. Parvin; and his nephew, James “Boo” Wyatt Jr.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Ave., in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.

A memorial will be established.
