Wayne C. Hess

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Rev. Wayne Clayton Hess, 87, of Franklin, formerly of Carroll County, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, June; daughter, Linda (Charlie) Driggers of Stanford; son, Jonathan (Jody); three grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Moran of Prescott, Ariz., Gladys Lindsay of Rockford, and his brother, Harold of Byron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David; and eight brothers and sisters.  

A service of remembrance will be at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 21, followed by a visitation, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1700 N. Towanda Ave., Normal.

Memorials may be made to the student scholarship fund of Africa University, in care of Illinois Great Rivers Conference, The United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 19207, Springfield, IL, 62794; or the donor’s choice.
