Kenneth L. Surdez

LYNDON – Kenneth L. Surdez, 66, of Lyndon, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at his home. He worked as a truck driver all of his life.

Kenneth was born Nov. 25, 1946, in Moline, the son of Kenneth C. and Della (Parker) Surdez. He married Nancy Searle in 1969. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife of Lyndon; one daughter, Tammy Surdez of Greenville, S.C.; two sons, Dan Surdez of Prophetstown and Rusty Surdez of Sterling; one sister, Rose Johnson of Moline; three brothers, Larry (Sharon) Surdez of Colorado, Alan Surdez of Washington, and Robert (Ruth) Surdez of Orion; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are scheduled at this time. McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Prophetstown is handling arrangements.
