OREGON – Oregon Police are not releasing the results of Wednesday’s autopsy of the Oregon teen found dead after an underage drinking party this weekend until more forensic analysis is done, they said in a news release.
There is no time frame for when those results will be completed, the release said.
“We feel at this time that we have a pretty accurate picture of the sequence of events surrounding the incident, and are working diligently to finalize this investigation,” Chief Darin DeHaan said in the release.
Jonathan “Jon” Williams, 18, was pronounced dead at 12:33 p.m. Sunday, after being injured in a fight Saturday morning in the 800 block of Monroe Street.
Oregon police responded to a disturbance call around 3:15 a.m., the second of the night, and charged five teens with illegal consumption. Andrew Harn, son of Ogle County Sheriff Michael Harn, was arrested and charged with illegal consumption a block from the party.
Williams is survived by, among others, his mother, Lynda Wade of Oregon.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. and his funeral at 7 p.m. Friday at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. Seventh St. in Oregon. Go to www.farrellhollandgale.com or call 815-732-7272 for the full obituary or more information.
