Food cleanliness class to begin

DIXON – A six-session food service sanitation class will begin Wednesday at Sauk Valley Community College, 173 state Route 2.

Classes will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Upon completing the course, students will test for their certification from the state Department of Public Health.

The cost is $113. A textbook is required, and can bought at the SVCC bookstore.

The last day to register is Tuesday. To register, stop at the college admissions office, room 1J1, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, or from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays. Students also can sign up by calling the Business & Community Education office at 815-835-6212.
