Thank you for year-long support

On behalf of Rock Falls Little League, coaches Ronnie Pillars, Danny Matznick, Nim Scanlan, Brian Ashley, James Velasquez, our players and their families, I would like to thank our Rock Falls and Sterling community for so generously supporting our fundraising efforts in the days before our journey to Fort Wayne, Ind.

Our team had only 2 days to raise money to help offset the costs of that travel and, I must say, I was amazed at the overwhelming love, support and well wishes we received.

Thanks in particular to the merchants who sponsored us: Community State Bank of Rock Falls, WIPFLI, Destinations Travel Services, Inc., Mertes and Mertes PC, Howes and Jefferies Realtors, Northern Illinois Home Medical Supply, K’s Korners Trading Post and General Store (and their patrons), CGH Hospital, Schreiner Oil Co. Inc., Brothers Flooring, Dave Devries, BandD Supply Co., Angelo’s Pizzeria, Sauk Valley Bank, Cochran’s Pub (and their patrons), The Loop Barber Shop, Nick’s Tap Inc., and Behrens Blumen Stuff Inc.

Thanks also to Steve Schreiner, H. Jennifer Mescher and Janet Payne for their generous donations.

We also greatly appreciate the merchants of Rock Falls: Walgreens, Save-A-Lot, and Walmart, as well as County Market and Kroger in Sterling for graciously allowing our boys to raise funds in front of their establishments.

Thanks, of course, to those who donated at those spots.

We are grateful also to the sponsors of our Little League Savers Cards: Dairy Queen of Rock Falls, Arby’s, Culver’s, 1st Avenue Barbershop, Bombdigity Bar & Grill (Dixon), Poci’s Market and Greenhouse, JW’s 3rd Base, Moore Tires, Inc., Weets (Morrison), The Loop Barber Shop, Schreiner’s Mobil Quick Lube, Toby’s and Deer Valley Golf Club.

They support us all year long.
