BAYTOWN, Texas – Olga Dunbar Thompson, 55, formerly of Dixon, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital in Baytown, Texas.
Olga was born Jan. 9, 1958, in Dixon, to Mary (Poulos) and Robert E. Dunbar Sr.
She was a member of Harvest Time Deliverance Church of Baytown, Texas. Olga was known to be a very kindhearted person with a wonderful soul. She loved to draw and paint, and was talented at both.
Olga is survived by her daughter, Desiree Nicole Thompson of Clarksville, Tenn.; father, Robert E. (Shirley) Dunbar Sr. of Rock Falls; brothers, Robert E. (Glenda) Dunbar Jr. and Billy (Stacy) Dunbar, both of Dixon, and Corey (Nicole) Dunbar of Polo; sisters, Penny Portner and Patty Starr, both of Dixon, Martha (Ken) Turnell of League City, Texas, and Louise Dunbar of Clarksville; stepbrother, James (Debra) Risley, and stepsister, Paula (Peter) Portner, both of Dixon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Reyes; and stepfather, Cecilio Reyes.
The funeral was at Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas. A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sauk Valley Community Church in Dixon.
