FULTON –  De Immigrant Windmill volunteers will host a free Abraham Lincoln musical event this month.

Chris Vallillo will present "Abraham Lincoln in Song" at 6 p.m. Aug. 29 at De Immigrant windmill at Windmill Cultural Center, 111 10th Ave. Vallillo has spent the last 30 years in the rural Midwest and has an affinity for American roots music. He performs on 6-string and bottleneck slide guitars and harmonica.

"Abraham Lincoln in Song" documents a period of change and struggle in the United States.

Vallillo was a recipient of the Illinois Arts Council Artist Fellowship Award for music composition and was a nominee for the Governor's Award for Individual Artist.

Refreshments will be served. The facility is accessible to those with disabilities.
