Sex offender wanted for failure to register

DIXON – Police are looking for Andre Demond Montgomery, wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.

According to the Illinois State Police website, Montgomery was convicted in Ogle County in June 2011 of aggravated sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl. He was 32 at the time, and is considered a sexual predator.

He is 5-foot-6 and 130 pounds, and will turn 36 on Wednesday.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the police department at 815-288-4411 or the anonymous reward hotline Crime Stoppers at 888-228-4488. Callers do not have to leave their names and are eligible for rewards of up to $1,000 with information leading to an arrest.
