DIXON – A sporting goods store is making its way to Presidential Parkway Plaza.

Hibbett Sports will move into 1620 Miller St., between Maurices and Dollar Tree in the plaza, by the end of the year, said Brett Paul of Xsite Real Estate.

Hibbett also has a store at Northland Mall in Sterling.

The national chain has 800 stores in 29 states, according to its website. The store sells clothing, shoes, and sports accessories, among other items.

Love Your Scrubs closing

DIXON – Another downtown business is making a move.

Love Your Scrubs, 107 S. Hennepin Ave., is expected to close within the next month or so.

The business will return to its original location on East Fourth Street in Sterling by Oct. 1. That building is being renovated, owner Bobi Majeski said.

“The business isn’t here,” Majeski said. “We moved next to a big hospital and clinic, but we aren’t making any more money.”

Restaurant taking a quick break

DIXON – Salamandra Restaurant, 121 W. First St., will be closed Monday through Aug. 19 for a summer break.

When it opens, it will operate with new hours: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
