Mack R. McCourt

OREGON – Mack Richard McCourt, 72, of Oregon, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Neighbors Rehabilitation and Care Center in Byron.

He was born April 20, 1941, in Dixon, the son of Charles L. and Hazel P. (Kinn) McCourt. Mack was a safety officer with Raynor in Dixon. He worked at A-1 Cement Co. in Dixon, Brian Bemis Autos in Oregon, and was a barber in Oregon for many years. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed playing golf. He was loved by the many friends he made in the area.

Survivors include his children, Katherine (René) Mexia of Colorado and Matthew McCourt of Oregon; grandson, Liam Mexia; and brother, Charles (Brenda) McCourt of Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 8 at Daysville Cemetery in rural Oregon, with Pastor Jack Briggs officiating. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home is Oregon is handling arrangements.
