Ann R. Behling

FITCHBURG, Wis. – Ann R. Behling, 62, of Fitchburg, Wis., passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was born Jan. 18, 1951, in Beloit, Wis., the daughter of Verdell and Iona (Hovde) Blihovde. She married Dr. Ronald Behling on Sept. 20, 2008, in Madison, Wis. Ann graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1969. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Ann later obtained her juris doctorate degree from UW-Madison. She was a claims counsel for Liberty Mutual, where she had been for 5 years. Ann was a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin. She also was actively involved with the Susan G. Komen Race Committee and was an avid reader. Ann was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Fitchburg.

Ann is survived by her husband, Ron; son, Steve Lampiris; two stepsons, Ryan Behling and Ross (Michelle) Behling; sister, Cheryl (Terry) Wolford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Gunderson Fitchburg Funeral Home, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, Wis. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Alex Thornburg officiating.
