George A. Parker

ROCK FALLS – George A. Parker, 54, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He was a machinist at Lawrence Brothers for several years.

He was born Aug. 8, 1958, in Sterling, a son of Richard D. and Rita (Daniels) Parker. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Rock Falls.

Survivors include his parents and two sisters, Debbie Hines and Susan Parker, all of Sterling; five brothers, Rich Parker of Rock Falls, Carl Parker of Sterling, Jeff Parker of Rock Falls, and Mike Parker and John (Wendy) Parker, both of Sterling; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday and the service at 10 a.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Calvin Reynolds officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service.

A memorial has been established.
