Beginning in 2015, NBC will share NASCAR coverage with Fox, which signed an extension with NASCAR last year.

Brewers slugger Ryan Braun was pulled Tuesday as an endorser for Kwik Trip convenience stores after admitting performance-enhancing drug use and being suspended the rest of the season Monday.

Braun has been linked with the chain for 4 years.

Marmol struggles after call-up in L.A.

After being recalled to Los Angeles from Double-A Chattanooga earlier in the day, former Cubs reliever Carlos Marmol allowed three runs – all earned – on four hits and a walk in 1 2/3 innings in a 10-9 Dodgers win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday in Toronto.

Charges against Florida LB dropped

Because of lack of evidence, charges have been dropped against Gators linebacker Antonio Morrison, who was arrested for barking at a police dog on Sunday.

Morrison’s arrest was his second in 5 weeks and led coach Will Muschamp to suspend his starting middle linebacker for at least two games.

Bulls summer-league standout Thomas cut

The Bulls waived summer-league standout Malcolm Thomas on Tuesday.

Thomas, who averaged 2.5 points in seven Bulls games last season, signed a contract that would’ve become guaranteed for $250,000 today, had he not been waived. With the Bulls in the luxury tax, his guaranteed money would’ve cost the Bulls more at the end of next season.

Stars urge drop of Redskins nickname

Hall of Famers Darrell Green and Art Monk say the franchise should consider changing its nickname.

Their opinions counter those of Redskins owner Daniel Snyder, who has said he’ll never change the name, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Ten members of Congress sent a letter in May to every NFL team, calling for the Redskins to change their name.
