Group to discuss court decision

The Rock River Peace Group has the pleasure of having Catherine Gibson lead a discussion of the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision to void the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

The discussion will be at 7 p.m., Monday at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 2200 16th Ave, Sterling. The public is invited to participate; there is no charge and refreshments will be provided. Please feel free to bring a goodie, too.

Catherine has lived in Sterling for 13 years and recently retired from the Sterling School system. She was born in Mississippi and wants to share, along with her personal experiences, those of her dear parents and friends. Catherine has taught all levels of students and is a minister as well. She has two sons and 10 grandchildren.

Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences and beliefs.
