Appreciative of opinion reprints

Kudos to the Daily Gazette for the editorials from yesteryear.

My great-grandparents and grandparents were from this area. Luther Bush was a little more famous with Hezekiah Brink. They founded the Broadway Methodist Church, and he was a vote counter in elections and quite respected. They were brick makers and ship builders from Connecticut. There are houses still standing on Broadway in Sterling.

The McCrays came from Amboy (also farmers). Grandma Henrietta Bush-McCray worked at a candy factory in Dixon – could anyone help me with the name? I am scrapbooking these articles as it gives me history on my family and the era in which they lived. Thanks, Gazette.
