Blood drive to be at local 4-H fair

AMBOY – The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday during the Lee County 4-H Fair and Jr. Show at the Lee County Fairgrounds, 1196 Franklin Road.

Blood supplies are low, and blood and platelet donors of all types, but especially O negative, A negative, and B negative, are needed. Donors will be asked to pay the $5 entry fee, but will be reimbursed after donating.

Call the Lee County Farm Bureau, 815-857-3531, for an appointment; walk-ins are welcome.
