DIXON – A Mount Morris couple wanted for theft in Ogle County were arrested around 8:30 a.m. Thursday in Dixon, along with his mother.

Police say Timothy J. Parker, 31, and Kimberly M. Poole, 30, are suspects in two residential burglaries.

According to Dixon police:

After the Ogle County Sheriff’s Department issued a news release Wednesday asking for help locating the pair, a citizen tipped off authorities that they and Poole’s car were seen in the area of an apartment building in the 1500 block of Freedom Walk.

Dixon Police found the vehicle, which was registered to Poole, and discovered that Parker’s mother, Robin L. Bland, lived in the building.

Bland was contacted and given the ruse that the vehicle was improperly parked and had to be moved.

A short time later, two people matching the pair’s description left the building and headed toward County Market, officers began to converge, there was a short foot chase and the two were arrested behind the store, police said in a news release.

They were in Ogle County Jail Thursday evening, he on $75,000 bond, she on $50,000, and both charged with felony theft.

Bland, 56, who police say lied to officers and knowingly harbored the wanted couple, was arrested and charged with obstructing justice and aiding a fugitive, also felonies.

She was in Lee County Jail Thursday; her bond had not yet been set.
