STERLING – Rep. Mike Smiddy, D-Hillsdale, will attend the grand opening and ribbon cutting for a new facility at Sterling Centers, 301 W. Third St., at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The new facility will have 10,000 square feet of space and serve as part of the Sterling Centers’ “economic gardening” program. It will consist of 22 new office spaces capable of buildouts to suit “mom and pop” businesses to light manufacturing and assembly lines.

The 490,000-square-foot facility just west of County Market, formerly a Frantz Manufacturing plant, already is used for commercial and private storage.

Contact Sterling Centers General Manager Doug Wiersema at info@sterling-centers.com or 815-441-3916 for more information.
