Doris A. Brumbly

DIXON – Doris A. Brumbly, 80, of Dixon, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at KSB Hospital in Dixon. She was a homemaker.

Doris was born June 23, 1933, in Prophetstown, the daughter of Taylor and Marcella (Lindbergh) Curry. She married Richard “Dick” Brumbly on Oct. 14, 1951, in Prophetstown. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2005.

Survivors include five sons, Michael (Cheryl) Brumbly of Sparta, Wis., Timothy (Leslie) Brumbly of Rock Falls, Marc (Pam) Brumbly of Oregon, Tris (Angie) Brumbly of Dixon, and Matthew (Yuka) Brumbly of Los Angeles; one sister, Dorothy Rush of Maine; two brothers, Keith (Lois) Curry of Minnesota, and Kenny (Ginny) Curry of Kentucky; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Dianne Smith.

A memorial service will be at a later date. At her request, cremation rites will be accorded. McDonald Funeral Homes are handling arrangements.
