ROCHESTER – Lois Marie Richard Itken, 87, of Rochester, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Lois was born Jan. 28, 1926, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of James and Nora (King) Haver. She married Bruce Richard. He preceded her in death. She married Lester Itken. He preceded her in death.

Lois was employed by Pinellas County in Florida for 25 years before moving to Rochester. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, traveling, and dancing. Lois also was an avid golfer.    

She is survived by her son, Michael (Debbie) Richard of Sterling; daughter, Patricia (Charles) Broers of Rochester; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Eula Gooby and Jan (Herb) Griffin.  

She also was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Maxine Russell; and brother, Jim Haver.  

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. July 20 at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon with Judy Woerner, celebrant, officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home in Springfield is handling arrangements.
