OKEECHOBEE, Fla. – Dora “Betty” Wilson, 91, of Okeechobee, Fla., formerly of Amboy, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Hamrick Home in Okeechobee. She owned and operated Wilson Construction Co.

Betty was born Dec. 19, 1921, in Raccoon Township.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon K. (Phillip) Rucker; three sons, James (Sue) Knox, Wayne (Bev) Knox, and Gerald (Janet) Knox; her sister, Bonnie (Doyle) Dunn; six grandchildren; and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Wilson.

There will be no local service. Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
