DIXON – “Big Dippers and Little Sippers II,” a wine tasting to raise money for the Amos Fund for pet health care, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. July 19 at Distinctive Gardens, 2020 Lowell Park Road.

Tickets are $15 at Crystal Cork, 219 W. First St.; River Ridge Animal Hospital, 273 state Route 2; or by calling Deb Proctor of Sterling at 815-213-0164 before the event; they will be $18 at the door. They include seven glasses of wine to sample, an etched wine glass to take home, and hors d’ oeuvres.

Imprintable Memories owner Sena Warkins is providing gift items for sale, and local artists Mike Chandler and Suzanne Shedosky and photographer Linnea Koch will sell their works. Themed gift baskets will be raffled, and chair massages will be available.

Chandler, also a guitarist, will provide the music.

The Amos Fund helps pet owners with limited income pay for their animals’ medical treatment. Proctor started the fund after her dog, Amos, died following a 2-year chronic illness he developed as the economy started to worsen.

Call Proctor, or Laura Peterson, 815-535-2488, for more information on the fundraiser.

Find the Amos Fund Group on Facebook for more details about the fund.
