Employees recognized for service

ROCK FALLS – Officers of the Tri-County Opportunities Council Community Action Agency were elected at the recent annual meeting.

Kenneth Krogulski of LaSalle will serve a second 1-year term as chairman. Albert Harmon of Toulon was re-elected vice chairman. The returning secretary is Julie Jacobs of Sterling. Frederick Phillips Sr. of Savanna will serve as treasurer.

Service awards honorees were: Laura Gonzalez of Sterling, 5 years; Sue Britt of Morrison, 10 years; Harmon, 15 years; Grace Hunter of Oglesby, 25 years; and James Robison of Bradford, 30 years.

Serving Bureau, Carroll, LaSalle, Lee, Marshall, Ogle, Putnam, Stark, and Whiteside counties, the council has provided a wide variety of programs, activities, and services for low-income people for the last 48 years.

Its board is equally comprised of representatives of public bodies, private interests, and those it serves.
