Betty Lou Truckenmiller

PROPHETSTOWN – Betty Lou Truckenmiller, 77, of Prophetstown, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. She retired from Sterling Pavilion as a licensed practical nurse.

Betty was born Nov. 27, 1935, in Fulton, the daughter of Fred Alfred and Mamie Marie (Moore) Eads. She married Loyd D. Crocker on Jan. 5, 1955. She married Robert A. Truckenmiller on June 18, 1988, in Prophetstown. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lyndon.

Survivors include her husband, Bob; two daughters, Beth Zuidema and Angie (Jamie) Schroeder, both of Morrison; three sons, Larry (Mary K.) Crocker of Godfrey, Don (Tammy) Crocker of Prophetstown, and Joe (Valerie) Crocker of Livingston, Texas; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Grace Bowen of Lyndon; and one brother, Jim (Shirley) Eads of Prophetstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Thelma Diehl and Esther Rhodes; and three brothers, Fred, Richard, and Alfred Eads.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alan Jahn, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Lyndon, officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown.

Memorials have been established.
