DIXON – Marlene Rae Fiorini, 60, of Dixon, passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon. She was a lab technician at KSB Hospital.  

Marlene was born Feb. 24, 1953, in Chisholm, Minn., the daughter of Herman and Elizabeth (Larson) Fiorini. 

Survivors include one son, Ryan (Cassi) Appelquist of Dixon; one daughter, Bridget (Clay) Walton of Shabbona; her mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Fiorini of Chisholm; one brother, Mike Fiorini of Denver; two sisters, Barb (Rob) Jackula of St. Cloud, Minn., and Brenda (Jim) O’Donnell of Billerica, Mass.; and three grandchildren, Ava, Rayden, and Adalynn.

She was preceded in death by her father; twin brother, Joseph; and one grandson in infancy.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday and the memorial service at 6 p.m. Thursday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, with the Rev. Christopher Navurskis, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hinckley, officiating. Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon is handling arrangements.

A memorial has been established.
