No-wake order on Rock River lifted

DIXON – With the Rock River back below flood stage, a no-wake order was lifted Friday in Whiteside, Lee and Ogle counties.

The counties’ sheriffs, John Varga (Lee), Michael Harn (Ogle) and Kelly Wilhelmi (Whiteside) announced the end of the order, which was issued June 27.

They did say that boaters should use caution in case of floating debris.
