Shoots 1-over par in 2-day event to win Morrison title by 15

Jason Welker won the inaugural Prairie Ridge Invitational, firing a 1-over par 145 over two rounds at the Morrison golf course.

Welker’s 1-over 73 on Day 1 gave him a four-shot lead in the championship flight heading into the second round. His even-par 72 was eight shots better than anyone else’s second-day score. He won by 15 strokes over Tim Slavin (77-83–160).

Tom Houzenga (83-80–163) and Aaron Heaton (77-86–163) tied for third, 18 shots behind Welker.

Lyle Upton shot a 160 to win the A flight by eight shots over Tim Houzenga (168), while Roger Smith’s 176 won the B flight by two strokes over Mark Heusinkveld (178). Philip Schroeder fired a 176 to win the Senior flight by one shot over Archie Schaefer (177), and Carol Onken shot a 197 to win the Ladies flight by 10 strokes over Sandra Grau (207).
