STERLING – Virginia M. Reiley, 92, of Sterling, formerly of Rock Falls, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Virginia was born Oct. 21, 1920, in Sterling, the daughter of Freddie and Grace (Howard) Wallace. She graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1938. Virginia married Hubert “Hub” Reiley on June 14, 1941, in Sterling. He preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 1987. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls and the Insurance Women Organization. Virginia worked for 30 years for Peterson Book & Klocke Insurance Co. as its secretary. She enjoyed spending time with her dear friends, and especially loved being a mother and grandmother.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Barbara) Reiley of Rock Falls and Kevin (Becky) Reiley of Sterling; two sisters, Hildred “Sis” Heckler of California and Audrey Gutches of California; five grandchildren, Shaun (Monica) Reiley, Shannon (Cheri) Reiley, Beth Ann (Doug) Peugh, Todd (Kaitie) Reiley, and Scott (Kristen) Reiley; and four great-grandchildren, Evan, Reiley, Amelia, and Luke.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls. A Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Monsignor Thomas Dzielak officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls is handling arrangements.
