MORRISON – Robert A. Wagenecht, 85, of Morrison, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at his home after battling cancer. He was a road commissioner with Mount Pleasant Township, retiring in 2007.

Robert was born June 10, 1928, in Morrison, the son of Arthur C. and Luella (Pyse) Wagenecht. He married Helen Mae Hiddleson on Dec. 26, 1947, in Morrison. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bob (Glenna) Wagenecht of Fort Collins, Colo., and Bill (Debra) Wagenecht and Allen Wagenecht, both of Morrison; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carol (Larry) Zuidema of Morrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Rogene Houseman; and one daughter-in-law, Leslie Wagenecht.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday and the funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison, with the Rev. Mark Winkelman, senior pastor, and Rev. Mike Winkelman, associate pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison is handling arrangements.

A memorial has been established to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison.
