BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Olive Maxine “Midge” Ramsey of Broken Arrow, Okla., passed peacefully Saturday, June 22, 2013.

She was born Nov. 21, 1928, in Amboy, to Oliver N. and Myrtle E. Eckburg. She married Charles McCullough “Chuck” Ramsey on Sept. 24, 1949, in Amboy. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at Lake Martin, Ala. He preceded her in death.

Midge was a graduate of Amboy High School. She was a member of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Okla. Midge enjoyed her friends, bridge, marbles and golf – especially giving many golf cart rides to her grandchildren. She was truly a “family maker,” and we love her for it.

Midge is survived by three sons, Mark (Gloria) of Tulsa, Phil (Chris) of Mountain Brook, and Paul (Karen) of Tulsa; and nine grandchildren, Megan, Paul, Michael, Lizzy, Wil, Jack, James, Eric and Allie. Midge also is survived by her brothers, Don (Pat) Eckburg of Golden, Colo., and Dick (Judy) Eckburg of Savannah, Ga.; her sister-in-law, Lois Eckburg, wife of Blair Eckburg; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She also was preceded in death by her brother, Jack (Mary Lou); her brother, Blair Eckburg of Ashton; and her sister, Doris (Bill) Thompson of Richardson, Texas.

A private service was held at Lake Martin, Ala., where Midge and Chuck loved to gather and enjoy their extended family.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be in her name to the chapel at Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy.
