The number of consecutive trips to the playoffs for the Oregon Hawks, before the streak ended last season.
The last time the Rock Falls Rockets were in the playoffs. They lost in the Class 4A second round that year.

John Bothe has been the Oregon Hawks’ head coach. That places him third in the area in tenure, behind Newman’s Mike
Papoccia (33 years) and Amboy’s Gary Jones (19) – who Bothe played for in the early 1980s. They’re the only three area coaches to be at their schools for longer than six seasons.

That’s how many teams will be in the Big Northern Conference starting in the fall of 2014. The Dixon Dukes will join the Hawks and Rockets in the West, while Johnsburg will join the East. Each division will consist of eight teams.
