Group seeks new ideas for future topics

Published: Tuesday, July 2, 2013 1:15 a.m. CDT

The Rock River Open Forum welcomes the public to an effective get-together at 6 p.m. July 11 the Rock Falls Public Library.

Participants will be asked to provide information, suggestions, and achievable actions on a wide range of subjects, some of which are poverty, Social Security, drones, global warming, energy sources (fracking, the Keystone pipelines), sustainability, genetically-modified seeds, Citizens United, chem trails, and the actions of our local, state and federal governments. We will also agree on the subjects for future meetings.

The group has been using the “see, judge and act” process. It is not possible to know everything, so members have chosen subjects or issues that have been mentioned above. At this meeting, they will present knowledge of the issue (see), offer an analysis (judge), and present suggestions regarding the situation (act).

Please feel at home to become a part of the process, or just come and observe. The best way is to come to a meeting and “see, judge and act.”
