Complaints on business actions are nothing new

Published: Friday, June 28, 2013 1:15 a.m. CST

Regarding the June 26 article “Landowners seek peat-mining permits,” I think that all of the complaining from Sandra Hamm about business ventures that were along Fenton Road in the digging and shipping of peat and topsoil is just like the people in Chicago who buy a nice home next to O’Hare or Midway airports and complain about the noise.

I worked for one of the firms that hauled the bagged products to Chicago, and the area around Chicago, as well as elsewhere in Illinois and in Iowa.

Thank you for your time and space.
