La MOILLE – Kevin J. Scully, 48, of La Moille, died Sunday, June 23, 2013.  

Kevin was born March 7, 1965, in Spring Valley, to James and Sharon (Krupp) Scully. He married Terumi Kon on July 11, 1994, in Hawaii. She survives. He graduated from La Moille High School and Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby; and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He retired as co-owner of Gourmet Express in Greenville, Ky. He was a member of Shooting Park Road Baptist Church and the La Moille Lions Club.  

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Emma and Rie Scully, both at home; his parents of La Moille; a brother, Michael (Susan) Scully of Oglesby; a sister, Kimberly Scully of East Peoria; and his in-laws, Katsuhiko and Emiko Kon of Japan.

Some of Kevin’s favorite things were spending time with his family, gardening, traveling, reading, and tending to his chickens.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shooting Park Road Baptist Church in Peru. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Gary McKee, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Ohio. Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling arrangements.
