BorgWarner opens facility in Brazil

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – BorgWarner is expanding its technology leadership in highly-engineered engine and drivetrain components in the growing Brazilian automotive market.

Brazil’s INOVAR-AUTO regulations aim to increase technological development to improve fuel economy, innovation, environmental protection and energy efficiency, quality and safety of vehicles and auto parts produced.

In addition, the company expects to benefit from the sharp rise in production in Brazil and strengthen its local market position as a leading supplier of environmentally-friendly technologies.

BorgWarner also recognized 96 employees from its worldwide operations for operational excellence, product development, customer excellence and collaboration. From this group, 18 employees received the Innovation Excellence Award for their exceptional contributions to the company’s success.

BorgWarner operates a factory in Dixon.
