DIXON – Sean Michael Rodriguez, 43, formerly of Sterling, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at home.

Sean was born Oct. 19, 1969, in Sterling, the son of Jose Rodriguez Jr. and Donna Tobey. He was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs fan. 

Survivors include his longtime girlfriend, Nikki Worrell; two sons, Bradly Hufman and Brayden Rodriguez; three sisters, Marci (James) Dingman of Sterling, Missi (Richie Hudgin) Rodriguez of Rock Falls, and Nadine (Mike) Hamas of Byron; three brothers, Jason (Angie) Rodriguez, Joe (Bonnie) Rodriguez of Dixon, and Brett Hutchison of Milledgeville, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Rodriguez Jr.; his grandparents, Bruce and Virginia Tobey and Nativad and Jose Rodriguez Sr.; and an aunt, Diane Barnes.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Coester officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial at a later date.  

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
