Cherry Elizabeth Lewis

DIXON – Cherry Elizabeth Lewis, 71, of Dixon, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Serenity Hospice in Oregon.

She was born June 20, 1942 in Kewanee, the daughter of Clarence William and Mary Rebecca (Lincoln) Harshbarger. She married Adam Koehler Jr. She later married Lyle A. Lewis on Oct. 19, 1973. He died on Aug. 15, 1981.

Survivors include her children, Kathy (Terry) Chambers of Lostant, Tory (Shelley) Koehler of Dixon and Connie Hoyle (Lou Schwartz) of Dixon; her stepson, Sam (Deb) Lewis of Virginia; two brothers, Bob (Phyllis) Harshbarger of Huntley and Steve Harshbarger of Clinton, Iowa; her sister Mary (Jerry) Brown of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents; and two brothers, David Harshbarger and William Harshbarger.

There will be no visitation or services. Cremation has taken place. McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory handled arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice in Oregon.
