Reagan 5K Run

DIXON – More than 1,500 participants are expected for the annual Reagan Run 5K July 6.

The traditional race is part of Dixon’s Petunia Festival.

The run will begin at 8 a.m. with the starting line at Ronald Reagan’s Boyhood Home, 810 S. Hennepin Ave. The course takes runners through downtown, across the Rock River, along wooded paths, and finishes in Haymarket Square near the post office.

The 5K benefits Dixon Athletic Boosters, Dixon Main Street, Dixon Park District, and Dixon YMCA Strong Kids.

Visit www.getmeregistered.com or www.reaganrun.com for online registration. Early race packet pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the Dixon Family YMCA, 110 N. Galena Ave.

Race day registration will be until 7:30 a.m. at Haymarket Square. No registrations will be available at the starting line.
