Scouts can run and earn money

MILLEDGEVILLE – Chadwick-Milledgeville Boy Scouts of America Troop 55 will sponsor a 3K Challenge run fundraiser Sept. 7 downtown.

Teams of five Scouts will run the 1.86-mile course starting at 10 a.m. All runners will start at the same time. Troops and crews can enroll more than one team. Individual scores will be added together to determine the team’s place.

Each runner will receive a race shirt. Refreshments will be provided after the race.

The cost is $10 per runner or $50 per team. Checks should be made payable to Troop 55. Registration is due by Aug. 9, and can be sent to Troop 55, 203 Calvert Ave., Chadwick, IL 61014.
