ROCK FALLS – Kathryn Ann Taylor, 75, of Rock Falls, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was born May 19, 1938, in Sterling, the daughter of John and Ethel (Rhode) Moran. She attended Sterling High School in the late 50s. Ann married LaVon Taylor on Nov. 22, 1958, in Rock Falls. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2004. She was employed by several places over the years, including Gene’s Drive Inn as a carhop, Illinois Bell as a telephone operator, Maid Rite, Lawrence Brothers, General Electric, Steak House West, Harper Wyman, Whiteside County Senior Center, Rock Falls American Red Cross, and Rock Falls Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include two daughters, Annette (Jim) Hall of Morrison and Leigh-Ann Ebenezer of Rock Falls; one son, Rick (Darla) Taylor of Rock Falls; two sisters, Judi (Mike) Gragert and Patti (Rick) Simpson, both of Rock Falls; six grandchildren, Shaun Taylor of Princeton, Brooke (Jack) Helms of Rock Falls, Beau Ebenezer of Peoria, Brooklyn Hall, Ashley Hall and Ana Hall, all of Morrison, and Ciara Dickson of Rock Falls; and four great-grandchildren, Anjelique Taylor, Jessenia Taylor, and Alex Taylor, all of Princeton, and Tinley Helms of Rock Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one sister, Mary Frazier; one great-grandchild, Kristian Taylor; and one brother-in-law, Bob Frazier.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Porter of Abiding Word Church in Sterling officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.
