OREGON – Joann E. Wolff, 76, of Rochelle, formerly of Amboy, died Friday, June 14, 2013, at Serenity Home and Hospice in Oregon. 

She was born Dec. 31, 1936, in Dixon, the daughter of Harry Youngblood and Rita Hoerner. She worked for the Freeman Shoe Co. in Dixon and then for Caron International in Rochelle for 17 years prior to her retirement.

Joann was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

She married Ralph Wolff, Sr. in 1954 in Amboy, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1983. 

Survivors include her children, Linda (Henry Sr.) Bunger of Rochelle, Ralph (Martha) Wolff Jr. of Texas, John (Patricia) Wolff Sr. of Rochelle, and Kenneth Wolff of Rochelle; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Judy Smith of Amboy.

She also was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Landheer, and a brother, Marvin Hoerner.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Cremation rites will follow with burial of cremains in Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy at a later date.
