Longtime employee to be recognized

OREGON – The Rock River Center Board of Directors will honor Karen Copeland for more than 23 years of service to the seniors of Ogle County.

There will be an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the center, 810 S. 10th St.

The public is welcome.  

Copeland began working as the executive director of the center in October 1989. During her years there, she has served the broader community through membership on various boards and advisory councils, such as the United Way, Northwestern Illinois Area Agency on Aging, Ogle County Community Mental Health Board, Lee-Ogle Transportation System Board, and as the president of the Ogle County Senior Services Network.
