MORRISON – Theodore “Ted” Venhuizen, 90, of Morrison, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison. He was employed by General Electric in Morrison as a tool and die maker, retiring in 1988.

Ted was born Sept. 27, 1922, in South Bend, Ind., the son of Fred and Grace (Klimp) Venhuizen. He served in the Army. He married Marjorie R. Buikema on July 27, 1951, in Morrison. He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison.

Survivors include his wife, and one son, Rick (Sherry) Venhuizen, both of Morrison; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Clara Venhuizen in infancy, Clara Venhuizen, Grace Zust, Lena Brackemyer, and Clara Hamstra; and four brothers, Pete, Tom, William “Whitey,” and Fred “Fritz” Venhuizen.

There will be no visitation. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison, with Ken Renkes, director of congregational care at Ebenezer Reformed Church officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

A memorial has been established.
