Published: Friday, June 14, 2013 1:15 a.m. CST

ASHTON – The new Ashton Family Health Center, a collaboration between KSB Hospital of Dixon and Rochelle Community Hospital, opens Monday.

The new primary care clinic consolidates KSB’s Ashton Clinic, formerly at 707 Main St., with RCH’s Family Healthcare Center at 320 N. First St.

“Partnering with Rochelle Community Hospital provides us with the perfect opportunity to continue to serve the Ashton community and provide quality health care in a local setting,” KSB President and CEO Dave Schreiner said Thursday in a news release.

The Ashton clinic will be staffed by providers from both hospitals. Family physician Dr. Kurt Crowe and RN Linda Estock will spend Tuesdays and Thursdays in Ashton and the rest of the week at his practice at the KSB Center for Health Services – Amboy Clinic.

RCH Dr. Theresa Elises, M.D., and nurse practitioner Marilyn Balch will see patients on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Office hours at the Ashton Family Health Center will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Phone numbers and fax numbers will not change. KSB patients will continue calling 815-453-1212 to schedule an appointment and Rochelle Community Hospital patients should call 815-453-2681.

KSB’s current provider at the Ashton clinic, Dr. Sameer Jain, has moved his practice to the KSB Center for Health Services – Polo Clinic. He replaced Dr. Risha Raven, who moved her practice to the Family Health Center at Town Square Centre in Dixon.
