Milda F. Salzman

ASHTON – Milda F. Salzman, 91, of Ashton, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013.

She was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Gardner, to Thomas and Amy Male. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed quilting. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America in Ashton.

She is survived by her children, Gerald (Judy) Salzman of Mundelein and Marjorie (Craig) Buhrow of West Brooklyn; her four grandchildren, Allyn (Amy) Buhrow, Aimee (Scott) Stoller, Amanda (Rob) Zimmerman, and Adam (Brigid) Salzman; and seven great-grandchildren, Brett Buhrow, Andrea Buhrow, Kyra Stoller, Katelyn Stoller, and Joslyn, Alivia and Chrissy Salzman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; her sister, Hilda; and her brother, Leonard.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home in Ashton. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church in Ashton. Burial will be at Ashton Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church WELCA in Ashton.
