People have to mow, but at what cost?

Published: Wednesday, June 5, 2013 1:15 a.m. CDT

There was an article in the paper last week about how people will be fined for not mowing their lawns. Well, you know what? Maybe someone ought to find out why the gas prices are so much higher than the national average.

On June 3, the national average was $3.64 a gallon. Why is it $3.99 around Dixon and Sterling?

How can we pay that much to mow lawns when we need our money for food, rent and utility bills?

Do we mow yards, or let our kids go hungry? Think about it. All it amounts to is, gas stations are really greedy.
