Musicians take home area crown

BELVIDERE – River City Sound Chorus, which has members who live in Ogle County, Sterling, and Rock Falls, won a regional competition the weekend of May 18 in Appleton, Wis.

The chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International.

Members competed against 14 other groups to win first place.

River City Sound rehearses at 6:45 p.m. every Wednesday at the Community Building Complex of Boone County, 111 W. First St.
